Last weekend we ventured down to Sacramento to shoot Joe & Julie’s Wedding, and let me tell you, Jen and I were so excited to finally have their wedding come!!! Ever since we had got together with them last October, we have been anticipating with excitement!!! Some of you remember their Enagagement session we did, which was a mix of Julie’s love for all things glamour and fashion, and Joe’s love for fishing, with the feel of the movie, “A River Runs through it” .

We met up with Julie in the morning at Article Salon & Spa. Her make-up Artist, Jeff was fantastic!!!!! Also there, to video the entire day, was the VERY talented Alan & Amber Silva from Artistic Imagery, which by the way photographers/vendors, if your looking for a awesome couple that bring a style all their own to videography, look them up. Alan had put together for Joe and Julie, a video that traveled from their engagement video, to the wedding day, and Alan has some crazy mad skillz, that he did SAME DAY EDIT VIDEO, and edited footage from the day of the wedding in the video. Seriously crazy cool!!! Check out the video HERE!!!!!!

So after I left the salon Alan and I drove to The Citizen Hotel Downtown, where Joe and the guys were getting ready. What a amazing hotel inside and out. The day was so amazing!!! Joe and Julie before the ceremony wanted to see each other, and this is one of our favorite events to capture on a wedding day. There is a something about capturing the emotion and excitement of when they see each other.

Once we left the Citizen we headed to St. Francis Church for the ceremony. After the ceremony we all headed the the Crest Theatre, for their old Hollywood movie premier/reception!!! With access to the old theatre, and the old stage and lobby area, Julie & Joe had all the little details of their wedding down to a T. They even had a few ladies dressed up as the old cigarette girls, going around with candy cigars and cigarettes. The Master Of Ceremonies, Doug Lavine, and Dara Harmen, from Music on the Move, were awesome. We were entertained by the super talented Ricky Berger, who has a amazing voice!! It truly was an amazing night of fun, fashion, and vintage. Joe & Julie we hope you like the teaser of your fabulous wedding, cause we had TONS of fun shooting it!!

The details that Julie put into this wedding were perfection!! Such as her custom made bracelet she wore made by Pamela Tuohy Jewlery; the Bee on her charm signifies “B” for Berge, and that their nickname for each other is “Bug”, and the blue bead was from her grandma’s rosary.

And the shoes…………………….oh the shoes were FAB, like Cinderella!!!!

Love this shot of Julie that Jen got!!!

So as Joe was getting ready he received a package from Julie, and here’s what his reaction was…..

The gift Julie sent over were 2 framed photos of herself done pinup-style. It was a awesome surprise for him, and it was a bit funny cause he kept asking me ” Chris……did you take these?”

Look at this dress………it is so AMAZING that it GLOWS!!!

Julie and her Mom finishing zipping up the dress.

As we were setting up when Joe and Julie were going to meet, Alan helped set up this shot. Seriously Joe………..WOW!!

Love this shot of their anticipation…

After that we headed outside, to the balcony up on The Citizen’s 14th floor, with the amazing skyline.

Now these 2 are so much fun……reminds me of Marilyn Monroe…

Ummmm can we say BREATHTAKING?????????????? Julie is Gorgeous!!

Seriously Jen got some amazing shots!!! Like this…..

And like this……..

and this……

OH MY GOSH…………

MY FAV FROM JEN!!!

A few group shots of the entire wedding party and the guys…..Don’t worry we didnt forget the ladies. :)

As we got ready to head to St. Francis, they drove in a amazing Old Ford Car to the church. The same one they used from their Engagement Session.

Ok are you ready for the ladies………………well………….ARE YOU????? Julie got her vintage umbrellas from Bella Umbrella

This is the ONE!!!

Yah its that amazing……………………

One of my favorite moments when Julie and her dad before the ceremony…

and walking together down the isle….

Love that. Sorry Joe and Julie there were so many we liked we just couldn’t put all of them in from the ceremony, thats why its a teaser. :)

After they got married walking together outside the church..

As the ceremony ended and we went to the Crest Theatre, the old movie poster kiosks were filled with custom made movie posters, that Joe’s brother Chris designed for the wedding.

The one on the right, Alan designed from Artistic Imagery.

There were so many details that we had to narrow down for the blog. The Candy Bar and Cake.

Like I said, the details. Julie and her Cigarette Girls.

They had fish bowls on all the tables out in the lobby.

Inside the Crest was amazing. Here’s the stage area.

Ricky Berger performing with her amazing voice.

Julie and her dad’s first dance, which by the way, had Jen tearing up, it was so touching!

and Joe and his mom’s first dance.

Since this wedding was of Julie, who is Jen’s cousin, we had alot of family there as well as our own kids. Love this shot of Regan giving Julie his flower.

Jen and her boys….well at least 2 of them since Aiden had already crashed out for the night.

and Bella out on Kristen (Jen’s sister)’s shoulder.

Joe and Julie, we can’t express enough on how much fun we had at your wedding. You two are a amazing couple and show tons of love for each other and everyone you come in contact with!!! Hope you two enjoy the blog teaser and we cant wait to finish up the rest and show them to you!!!!

Oh and before we left we had to have some fun at the photo station with Alan, Amber, Doug, and Dana, some of the amazing crew t
hat made this day happen fo sho, as well as a few with the family. (the ones that were still up at least!)
