Today Mike & Aurelie’s wedding at Empire mine has been featured on the Wedding Wire Blog. Their wedding was absolutely fantastic. Aurelie envisioned a vintage classic clean wedding. She fell in love with the venue Empire Mine first, its natural beauty, reminded her of Europe. She was born in France and her whole family lives there. When I think of Aurelie’s wedding I think of the intimate nature of her day. Mike and Aurelie were so excited to get married, and could hardly wait to see each other for the 1st time during the ceremony. Right before Aurelie walked down the aisle they both were nearly overcome with emotion and anticipation, once Aurelie began to walk down the aisle Mike teared up, and then couldn’t stop grinning and staring at her for the rest of the ceremony, just taking in this moment as their 2 lives became one. As for the details and vision for the wedding, I was so impressed with how much Aurelie did to stylize her wedding, with relatively few details. You see so many weddings with an abundance of details, which are beautiful, but Aurelie was able to create a beautiful wedding day with a few strong elements, that was accentuated by the timeless beauty of their venue. One of my favorite details from their wedding was their cake. Aurelie’s Dad is a pastry chef in France and made her wedding cake for her. The detail was beautiful, and that fact that her dad made it- made it all the more special and intimate.
