Its 2012, and its supposed to be winter time but it feels alot like spring already. I wont complain about that though. It makes for great days outside with the kiddos and with friends and clients. The Andrew family is pretty rad in my book. Cathy is, our son Brian’s teacher at school and shes awesome. She does such a great job with the kids and it shows. Brian has learned so so much from her and continues to grow up way to fast. I met up with the family at Maidu Park last week and they brought their dogs and we walked around along the trials in the back there and had alot of fun. Sarah and Jake, we photographed their engagement session as well as their wedding last year so photographing them too was a joy. They are amazing. I got to meet Laura and David for the first time and they too are a awesome couple. It was alot of fun. Cathy your family is awesome. I had a great time with them. This session has been in the works, anticipated, and looked forward to for a LOOOONG time…. Our good friends Zach & Anne have a brand new baby in their household and we couldn’t be more excited for them. They have been trying to adopt for the past 2 years. The journey for them wasn’t smooth. They had had many bumps along this journey, and been matched with 7 birth moms, for something to not work out. I can’t imagine the roller-coaster ride they have been through emotionally and mentally. And yet through all this they have remained faithful and dedicated to both the process and each other. You can read their story about it on their family blog. Regardless of all the trials and tribulations, God works in mysterious ways and now has blessed them with a beautiful baby girl named Providence. Zach and Anne- Jen and I are so so happy for you both!!! Jen broke down in tears when she heard the good news that you were bringing Providence home with you!!! Your new baby girl is so adorable and sweet. Enjoy your blog teaser and we can’t wait to share the rest with you both.

I always enjoy photographing the Watch Me Grow sessions and spending the 1st year with not only the baby, but making relationships with the family as well and one such family is The Christian Family. I already have done Baby Gracie’s first session, which was so awesome, and now I am already on her second session. Where does the time go? Heading back to Brad & Lauren’s house and entering their home, baby Gracie has changed so much in such a short amount of time. I absolutely love this part of my job. Lifestyle Sessions are just so much fun and you really get to see a family in their true element. What can I say, I love what I do and I love this family. Brad & Lauren Gracie is so so adorable and I can’t believe how much she has changed already. Capri is super cute and I just love how she interacts with Gracie. One of the coolest things about our job is not only photographing our clients weddings, but when they start a new family, and one such couple is Dan & Nikki. A few years ago, Dan & Nikki were one of our first weddings we did, and recently they had a new baby boy named Jackson, and contacted us to photograph their new family. He is such a cutie!! Dan’s brother and his kids came, as well as Nikki’s mom Barbara for the photos. It was a great day out on the American River with them as we walked around and chatted. Over the last few years Jen has been teaching me about Lifestyle Portraiture and I am becoming in love with it. We both feel in love with a great photographer named Amber Holritz years ago and even had her come out 2 years ago to photograph our family, which now she is one of our freinds and we learned alot from her. She is the one that inspired us to start the business 4 1/2 years, and since then we haven’t looked back. Enough of the jibber jabber from me, we now return you to your regualarly scheduled blog post. ;)
A few years ago Jen had photographed one of very favorite families, The Kirby Family, and this year I got the opportunity to photograph their family this time. They are such a rad family. From the very beginning of the session, they were full of energy, and just ready to have fun, and we did just that. We meet in Fair Oaks by the Old Red Bridge and had a great time. We walked the bluffs and across the bridge to the river and they just had a great time with their kids. Dayna & Chris, your family is so adorable and fun fun FUN!!! The weather is changing and spring will be here sooner then we know it. Last week I ventured out to Roseville and met up with Connie and her family to photograph their family at home. Now I wanna start out by saying I have met some really awesome families over the years, but I think I have to say that The Coates Family is probably one of the most real, Down to earth, awesome, fun families that I have had the blessing to photograph. Jen and I actually met Greg & Crystal, owners of Tres Bebe & Tres Bella Photo at a Photographer Convention some years ago but we never got a chance to really talk with them while we were there. Since that time though we have been in touch and talked on Facebook, Twitter, and emails, so I was stoked that I could actually hang with not only them but their kids too. By the way speaking of kids, their kids are ADORABLE!!! SIMPLY ADORABLE!!! When we first started the session I was greeted with hugs and when the session ended the kids were sitting in their seats in the car buckling up and before the back door closed and i said good-bye, they reached out to me with both arms and gave me hugs. That was awesome!! Greg & Crystal, I can’t say enough on how much fun I had with your family. Plus I really enjoyed after the session just chatting about life, and catching up.
