Welcome to the new blog of Sacramento Wedding Photographer, Jen Stewart Photography! Please feel free to grab a cup of coffee, sit down and check everything out. We update our blog regularly with our recent work as well as a personal glimpse into the crazy lives of the Stewart Family, so check back often, bookmark the page, or add it to your RSS feed reader.

The Flower Farm in Loomis – David & Ally Engagement

Last weekend we met up with David & Ally to photograph their engagement session at The Flower Farm in Loomis as well as Old Town Loomis. We love these two!!! When we had met them over coffee a month ago, both Jen and I left our meeting saying to ourselves, “these two are so cool!!”. We had tons of fun and they were troopers considering that it was smoking hot outside that day. David & Ally we can’t wait for your wedding day!! Enjoy your teaser from your session!

Lincoln – Watching the sky fall.

3 weeks ago, Jen’s parents and our family went and took a little adventure out to Lincoln to watch the meteor shower. Last year there was a meteor shower, we woke up the kids from sleep at like 10pm, loaded them up in the van and drove out to Lincoln. It was relaxing and fun. The kids loved it. We threw down a blanket on a dirt road and laid down and watched the sky fall. This year we did the same except for the blanket on the ground. Papa brought his truck and all the kids laid down in the bed with blankets as the adults lounged in fold out chairs with coffee and hot chocolate. Jen brought her tripod and camera out and took some long exposure shots of the meteors. Its pretty cool and was a great time with the family.

Roseville – Brian’s Birthday Par-Tay

Its only been a month since Brian’s Birthday. Probably should blog about his party now huh. Brian is now 11 and I cant believe how big he is getting. Hes now in 5th grade now, and he’s in his 4th year of soccer. This year he wanted to do a Nerf Dart Gun War at our house. We bought a bunch of the darts and told his friends to bring their guns and play capture the flag. Plus he made his own cake. Yup my boy did that. I am very proud to be his dad and cant wait to see what he does in the years to come.

Here is Brian’s cake. He made all the fondant and cake and everything. Pretty cool and creative.

Brian is such a dork but i love him and i love that he is a dork cause I’m a dork too.

Calistoga Solage – 2nd Shooting with Colin

Roseville – First Day of School

Yesterday was the first day of school for the boys, and this is Aiden’s first ever day of school. He did such a great job for his first day and Brian and Regan were excited to be going back to school to see their friends as well as their new teachers. Can’t believe that its school time already and how big all the kids are getting. Before we know it it will be Christmas. What the what????

Aiden was such a ham for these.

Bella isnt going to school yet, but she wanted to be involved as well so she wanted to have pictures with her lunch bag too.

Our boys, Silly faces, and Haircuts

Man where did summer go?? Already its time for the boys to get ready for school and that means that their awesome hair that they grew over the summer has to be cut off. Jen and I always get a little sad when the boys have to cut their hair before the new school year. The good thing is that we have the best hair stylist for our family ever and so we are in good hands. Lisa from Sacco Salon has been our hairstylist for the last few years and we love her. She is the best!!! Follow her on Facebook and Twitter and then go make a appointment and she will amaze you! So this year we decided to have some fun with it and let them be themselves in these before and after photos of them. Brian and Regan are so funny.

San Francisco Wedding – 2nd Shooting With Colin Michael

I am very blessed to be in a industry that not only I love, but I get to meet some awesome people in the industry. Along with our business I get the privilege to work with Colin Michael assisting him with his weddings. I always enjoy working with him cause he is not only a great photographer that is willing to share and teach others, but is a good friend to Jen and I. 2 weeks ago I got to shoot with him in San Francisco, probably one of my favorite places to not only photograph in, but I would love to live there and always enjoy visiting.
