Man its been a very busy September for us, but that’s alright cause our couples are amazing and seriously, Dustin & Whitney rock it out like no other.  There is a love that both have for each other that is very contagious when you are with them.  When you look at both of them together, it glows off of them.  Its crazy I know but its true, and we love that about them. the two words that come to mind about them are “genuine love”.  We feel in love with them right from the beginning when we met them over coffee.  Jen and I left the meeting and said to each other” OMG they are such a rad couple”.  After we did their Engagement Session, we got even more excited for their wedding day and when it came, Jen and I woke up that morning excited and ready for the day, not to mention that we got to work with the crazy talented Lovespun Handmade Wedding Films, led by Jessica Ringor and her awesome husband Lewis.  These two are amazing and we couldn’t be happied that Dustin & Whitney picked them to film their day.The weather was fantastic, considering it was in the mid 80′s in Capay Valley, and in Sacramento it was almost 100 so we will take cooler weather thats for sure.   We met up with Dustin and Whitney at seperate hotels where they got ready and then ventured to Taber Ranch, which by the way is a beautiful venue. From up on top a hill for the ceremony, to a outdoor dinner, to dancing in a barn, it was truly a amazing day filled with love, joy, tears and laughter.  Dustin & Whitney we so loved your wedding.  Jen and I came home and were so in love with everything about your day.  Enjoy your wedding blog teaser and we can’t wait to share the rest with you both soon.

I can’t say enough about our couples and how much fun we have with them.  Jen and I are blessed to have such killer clients.  One such couple is Josh & Elizabeth.  From the engagement session, which we are now finding out from their friends and others, that their engagement session has been called “The Kennedy Session”, which I think its super cool that others have named their session.   Jen and I went up to Coloma, to meet with them and start the day off with both of them getting ready.  They got married at this old church called Emanuel Church, which is the same church my brother got married in so that was pretty cool to go back to it.  Their ceremony went great and Elizabeth’s dad actually married them both in the church, which I think is always pretty cool for a loved one to be a part of the ceremony like that.  From the church we then traveled to David Girard Vineyards for the reception.  The reception was great and I don’t think I have ever seen a bride like Elizabeth, that danced on the dance floor all night and not stop.  It was awesome.  Josh & Elizabeth we so loved your wedding day.  You two are a amazing couple.  Enjoy your wedding blog teaser and we cant wait to share the rest of your day with you both soon.

A few weeks ago we traveled out to Linden, to the McGurk Ranch, which by the way was ah-mazing!!  Talk about a perfect setting for Nick & Tenley’s wedding.  Tenley’s family own the ranch and it was huge!!  300 acres to be exact!  Seriously this ranch was killer.  The vision that They had was simple, ranch style wedding, with little details such as mason jars filled with flowers, candles throughout the tables and in candle holders on hooks, hay bails for guests to sit on during the cocktail hour, Tenley and her girls taken up to the ceremony site in a cool tractor trailer, it was just a amazing wedding.  One of the cool things about this wedding to me was Nick is my cousin and with that said I was able to see alot of family I haven’t seen for years.  What can I say, Jen and I had a great time and Nick & Tenley we hope you enjoy your wedding blog teaser, and we can’t wait to share the rest of the photos from your day!!

Last weekend Jen and I went out to West Sacramento to meet up with Paul & Nikki for their Engagement Session.  Last month we met up with them at another wedding we photographed, which was Kgosi & Courtney’s wedding.  These two are awesome!!!  Their personalities and sense of humor just totally pulls you in and then your hooked.  We had a great time with them.  After their session we went to dinner with them and got to know them even more.  Paul & Nikki we can’t wait for your wedding day and we can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos from your session.

Where do I start with this wedding.  Hmmmm let me think on that…..oh I know I will start with the kick butt couple that is Ryan & Krista.  Man we had been waiting for this wedding for a while and when the day came Jen and I were super stoked for it. When we met with Krista and her mom over coffee for the consultation we fell in love with them and all plans for the wedding day. The details and simplicity of their wedding, not to mention that both Ryan and Krista are super sweet and so easy to be around, its like a good friend that you don’t want to end your conversation with, something like that.  :)

From the Engagement Session we did with them, to the wedding day, it was so awesome.  They had mason jars with flowers in them, candles on the tables,  the colors of their wedding were warm and vibrant, everything was just perfect.  I have to say that by the time the ceremony ended, I don’t think there was a dry eye left.  This was one of those weddings that even WE teared up! It was such a moving, emotion, wonderful ceremony.  It really was a great day for Ryan & Krista.  The families and friends that surrounded them were amazing and the love shown for Ryan & Krista was endless.  Ryan & Krista we had so much fun with you both and are blessed to be a part of your amazing day.  Enjoy your blog teaser and we can’t wait to show you the rest soon.

Love this shot!

Krista with her dad before going down the isle.

When Ryan saw Krista come down the isle he began to cry.  It truly was amazing!!

And others as well in the wedding party

Ryan’s sister did a reading that was so heartfelt & touching in memorial of loved ones that have passed.

Her dad came up to comfort her during her reading.

Right after the ceremony they did a champagne toast for everyone coming and celebrating their special day!  It was pretty awesome!!

Love this!!

OMG so beautiful!!!

One of my favorite shots from the day!!!!  LOVE.IT

There were so many great moments that I had a super hard time narrowing them down.  Here is the first dance as a new married couple, first dance with dad and Krista, and Ryan and his sister danced together as well.

And speaking of dancing, this crowd got down!!!!!!
