Aug 6: Shooting with Sasha Leahovcenco In Downtown Sac

Last weekend I had the opportunity to shoot with Sasha Leahovcenco, Ross from Flosites brother In Law in Downtown Sacramento. Sasha and Ross also have a great Photography company called YOU + WE Photography. Its was a great experience to shoot my first Russian Wedding with him. Sasha is from Moldova which is kind of by the Ukraine, and my mom's side of the family is Russian so even though I don't speak any Russian I could pick up on a few words, but I wish I could have understood what everyone was saying cause the families had some really cool speeches they had spoke to the couple. The wedding was cool and the couple was even cooler!!! We had alot of time before the wedding to go to Old Sacramento and shoot some fun stuff. So here are some of my favorite from the day.

Aug 5: It's been FOREVER!!!!

This title can mean many things within this post.

It's been FOREVER since I posted (sorry, we've got some great new things in the works, can't wait to unveil them!

It's been FOREVER since I've had a girls night out with some of my very best friends!

And it's TRULY been FOREVER since I've scrapbooked!

Those of you who have known me for several years may remember I used to be an AVID scrapbooker. I even sold the supplies for a while. But ever since launching Jen Stewart Photography, I've trailed off on my scrapbooking. I think it just boils down to I invest so much of my creative energy into photography, that I just don't have enough left over to scrapbook. I miss it though. I'm sad that I haven't designed beautiful albums for my kids to look through. They still love looking through the old ones. But it's been probably about 2 years since I scrapbooked last, so I'm not even sure I got around to getting more than a handful of pages done of Aiden, and well....... poor Bella doesn't even exist in my albums :-(

Us girls used to have a month scrap night. I miss the scrapbooking, and the time I could count on to visit with my very best friends.

Friday night Tezra invited all of us girls over to her house to put together a "All About Us" album that she designed herself. She had all the supplies ready for us, and stepped us through it. But the end of the night we had a completed album. Now that's MY KIND OF SCRAPBOOKING!!!! :-) The idea is that Chris and I need to plan a date night to go out together and then fill out the different pages of the album about ourselves and our relationship.

The book is just BEAUTIFUL, and I can't wait for my date night! :-)

Tez, Lena, Mindi and Bonnie, I had such a great time hanging and laughing with all of you. I miss our monthly time together, let's not let it go so long between the next girls night :-)

mmmmmmm ribbon! I have a serious weakness for some fun ribbon. I don't even often know what I'll use it for, but beautiful ribbon catches my attention ALWAYS!

We were at Tezra's house till 1:00 in the morning! We were all pretty much delirious by the time we left. This photo was taken right before we all left. Unfortunately I missed Bonnie in our group photo, she had just left a little before the rest of us.

Aug 3: Dan & Nikki's Wedding Album

We continue to be blessed with awesome couples, and Dan and Nikki are just one of many. Their wedding was so cool and the location, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!!! Just a sweet location. The Old Sugar Mill. Brides, if your looking for a Sweet venue for your upcoming wedding this is the place FO SHO!!!!!

Jul 31: My Baby????

It's an inevitable occurrence when you have a baby, and older child(ren), there will be a moment when you turn your back, and the older sibling will try out the baby's toy/crib/car seat/ etc.

It's not the first time it's happened in my house, and probably won't be the last time I find Aiden trying out Bella's toys. I turned around the other day after working at the computer to find Aiden in Bella's exersaucer. He was quite proud of himself. haha :-) He's potty training right now, so he's walking around in big boy undies all day, I'll save you the photos of how his little (er not so little) buns didn't quite fit in the seat portion. ;-)





He was actually quite entertained by this toy for a while. The saying holds true, the grass is always greener on the other side, because you KNOW if there was toy out there actually MEANT for him, he'd be bored silly by it. But because it was Bella's he loved it, and was upset when I made him get out!

Jul 28: Rory & Nicole's Wedding Album

I am so loving our biz cause not only do i enjoy to shoot pics of people, I truly love to design as well weather it is a slideshow, or album or whatever I am down to Design SON!!!!

This is the second of many this year I have had the honor of designing for our clients. Rory and Nicole I had a blast designing this album for you two. Hope you enjoy this as well.
